As the Security Director of Assistance, Noriko leads the Security Assistance team in Asia and oversees the delivery of market leading security applied Risk Management, Incident Management, Advisory and Crisis Response services. She closely collaborates with Assistance centre leadership, particularly across Asia, from the Operations, Flight Desks and Assistance Travel teams, as well as the Regional and Global Security Directors Assistance and I&A, ensuring the highest standards of security operational delivery. She also oversees the delivery of high quality, localised security support to Chinese, Korean and Japanese speaking clients operating globally. Prior to joining International SOS in September 2015, Noriko has worked for over eight years in international humanitarian and developmental assistance with International NGOs and the Red Cross/Red Crescent, both at headquarters and in the field locations, including several countries in Africa. She has also provided support to other natural disaster and conflict response worldwide, including in Haiti in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake as well as in the Philippines post Typhoon Haiyan. Previous to her career in the International Assistance, Noriko worked as Research Analyst for the Mergers and Acquisitions database at Thomson Reuters. Noriko holds a BA (Joint Hons) in Management Studies and Psychology from the University of Leeds, and Master’s degree in Conflict, Security and Development from King’s College London.
